Sweet Spot Aerial Productions

Sweet Spot Aerial Productions’ mission is to raise the visibility of and demand for aerial and circus arts in Washington, D.C., and beyond. Our overarching goal was to present narratives and identities not typically seen in circus performances, from queer relationships to characters navigating their identity and sense of belonging in a world that rarely clears a path.

In the past year, Sweet Spot has teamed up with Circus Students Around the World (CSAW) to raise money for CSAW’s grant programs, which provide funding for circus artists of color pursuing higher education and professional training in circus arts.

In the future, Sweet Spot looks forward to pursuing more educational outreach – online and in person – to continue to broaden access to the circus arts in DC and elsewhere.

Sweet Spot is currently teaming up with Circus District to create an improved online directory of local circus artists and organizations, allowing show producers, students and circus enthusiasts to more easily find the exceptional practitioners of these art forms in their neighborhood.
